Cabinets circa 1950, floors that sloped like a ship on the sea, paint peeling everywhere; it was time. The Salem Trustees went to work, and soon the place was torn out till the bones of the house were exposed. What was put back, is nothing short of a work of art. On September 23rd we celebrated with an open house and dish-to-pass meal. A great time was had by all, if anyone went home hungry, it wasn’t for lack of delicious food!
